Many moons ago I was a graphic designer/production artist. Currently I am a tattoo artist (22 years) but looking to ease off to pursue commercial photography.

Firefighter... Schedule works out great for a side business or second job. 2 days on, four days off. Only issue is, here in California we have a chance of responding to fires throughout the state which could keep me out for 14 days. This is always a stress factor for my scheduled weddings. So I have to have a very reliable second/assistant that would take the contract if that ever happened. So far, been lucky as I usually make sure I have cover at the station when I have a wedding scheduled. Always guys willing to take my seat on a strike team.

My goal is to build my business enough that I can trust it will help with my retirement in about 5 more years.

Good luck

Why don't you take a picture, it will last longer....

I lead a "content development" team for an ISP. We produce a bit of everything under deadlines that are too short with a team that's too small.

We do a lot of process development and project management too.
