Also, I'm going to pick topics for August and I'll be posting them tonight. Just as soon as I think of them, lol.

Okay, it didn't take me long to think of them lol. Mainly because it's an idea I've been kicking around since last year.

Basically, those are the scene modes that are on my Canon cameras. I assume most brands have something similar, but it isn't really necessary.

Obviously, you are all free to interpret any of them any way you want -- that's kind of a big point of the whole thread -- but my thought is that by keeping them very broad we'll have lots of options. We can of course take a portrait, a sports shot, a landscape, a night scene, and a macro .... or you could shoot anything at all but use that mode on your camera. Shoot a still life using the Landscape mode for your Landscape if you'd like. Or whatever you want. Very broad, lots of room for interpretations.

Nicely done, MIchiTimm. Very good set of images. Like you, I'm scrambling a bit on this hunt as this was a busy month, but I think I have it covered as of today (better late than never, right!?). I'll have mine posted shortly.

No, actually they were from New England, where a couple of my young engineers had gone on vacation so they brought the old man a treat. Heady Topper and The Crusher are both from The Alchemist, a Vermont brewer. Sip of Sunshine is from another VT brewer, Lawson's Finest Liquids. The Little Rooster pale ale is from Trillium Brewing out of Boston. Four very good beers; the first three are double IPAs. If you haven't guessed, I'm a bit of a hop head

I have noticed. Our camera club meets in a photo studio which has a local brew club set up in the basement. There's a four spigot tap in the studio where we can sample the brews during our camera club meetings. Life is good.
