Look at all the submissions with prop blur & you decide which looks correct. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

I have shots that I went for prop blur that turned out well. Also with my very dirty sensor I would had spent a ton more time cleaning the shots.

But thanks for the advice. ![]() No, you don't need an ND filter, and you don't need 1/60th to get decent prop blur. Looking at the EXIF, you shot it at 1/1250, f/4.4, and ISO 320. First, drop the ISO as low as your camera will go - ISO 100 if you can, then close down the aperture, you don't need to be nearly so wide. You can get decent prop blur at 1/200 or 1/250, and at ISO 100 should have an aperture that works. Yes, you will likely have some dust spots - I've had shots that looked like I sneezed on my sensor, but you work with what you have. The Moose is Loose!

Both of these are at 1/250, f/13, ISO 100 and both were taken between 1 and 2pm on a sunny afternoon - no, you're not going to get a full circle of prop blur, but it's obvious the prop is turning. ![]() ![]()
