having made two tighter crops, thoughts?

vote for the first one - slightly more headroom above the brolly.
What do they look like in colour? I imagine the orange barriers....

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5

Went down to the beach this morning, settled myself in this little corner, wrapped up the camera in a plastic bag and shot this with a 10-stop ND:

very classy - be curious to know how the shot came out of the camera before being processed, looks like a bit of a dynamic range nightmare for most cameras (would be for mine anyway!)

The sony is awesome for that, though the light was flat enough, I did bracket some foreground shots but didnt need them

colour would have worked well had it not been for the road work barriers, dont like it at all.

Are phone camera pics frowned upon here? Just came back from a recent trip and haven't yet looked at the photos from the DSLR, but did record quite a collection of photos from my iPhone 6.

Hi Paul, yep to me the first crop is the better of the two but I dont think I would have taken any off the top. I rather like the hanging traffic lights and perhaps the vertical crop not so severe behind her. To the corner of the stone? building on the corner perhaps?

Do remember in the end, you are the artist, you present your work as it satifies you. You do not need any one else's approval. I still like the original :-D

very nice!

Cheers!

Went down to Westhaven on Sunday morning. Not a great sunrise, but still decent enough. Had a bit of a walk around Wynyard as well.

Afternoon all. Hope everyone is well.

Very sorry to hear about Riley passing away after his accident. Not sure if he was a member here but was a little bit active on Hellophoto.

I have just got back from the South Island doing a little bit of work on Dads house. Took my camera gear down and did a little bit, haven't processed any yet but will do.

However, while packing my mostly under used gear, I could not find my filter pouch with all of my filters in it. I must have left it in Waihi last time I was down there. That is the last time I used them as far as I can remember. I bought them a few years ago from a dealer on Trademe but he seems to have disappeared.

They are probably worth a $1000.00 or more and so I will make an insurance claim but cannot seem to find any one who has the range that I had.

Does anyone know anyone in NZ who deals with them and has a fairly wide range?

Cheers

Mark

Just to prove that I did actually take my camera, here is one: Relocated lighthouse, no longer in operation. Was in operation in its original position from 1878 to 1920. Taken about midnight and about -3 degrees. Forgot how cold it can be down there.

Mine were HiTech, I still have the holder and various adapters for differing lens sizes as they weren't in the pouch.
