Revisiting a few shots from 2014 and came across these - been a biker most of my life and this has to be one of the 'oddest' crashes as the forks have just come apart.

Zoomed in a bit.

Holy ****! If you're going to crash and don't want to screw around with a little lowside, this is certainly the way to go. Was this a control rider during a track day? Hopefully he was alright aside from soiled leathers.

Have a wheelie nice day!

Novice class hence the orange bib, on the whole they all did really well, heard the crash before spinning around to catch these, you can just notice the rear tyre is off the rim as well - certainly wasn't his bikes day for sure! He was fine, got up and shook his head in disbelief.

I cringe when I see highsides. There was a bunch in MotoAmerica this year, I think it was Road America where I can't believe the riders got up and walked away. Literally flew 10-15 feet in the air at speed and landed and slid. A friend who races knew someone who was at a track day and he highsided and lost his life. In fact he stopped doing track days for a good while after that.
