Sony FE 70-300
Sony FE 90 Macro
Voigtlander 10
or Sony FE 24-70 GM.... I already have Canon 24-70 II 2.8 and Sony FE 24-70 f/4, might be better off keeping the Canon and Sony F/4, or get the Sony FE 24-70 GM and sell Canon and Sony F/4 and also buy Sony 28-70, when I need something smaller...

Decision, decisions...

All of the above ߘ

I don't do bugs, so FE macro not a contender. You can pick up EF glad for dirt cheap, like the old tamron 90 out sigma 50, either do 1:1, and AF with metabones. Either only 1-200$

FE 70-300 is nice, great size, good optics.

CV 10, hope to get mine soon, the 12 is nice but can't be used on all bodies. Want to break that trend.

The new Tamron 90 Macro VC does work decent on a6300, I borrowed it for a short while (30-40 minutes)

some type of huge hornet, it didn't wanted to pose, it flew away after 2-3 seconds, and looked un-happy.

^Beautiful Travis.

Here is perhaps the only Loxia 35mm photo I will ever post. It is the little town of Senoia, Georgia, made famous in the television series The Walking Dead. The town was featured in season one as "Woodbury" ruled by the dictator called "The Governor". There is a real Woodbury, GA and it's just 22 miles south of Senoia.

Maybe I have a crap copy of the L35 or maybe the L35 is just crap, but every single wide open shot with this lens was just awful. I have never purchased a lens with such horrible wide-open performance before. And for such an expensive lens, it is completely unacceptable. Bummer, because other aspects of the lens are quite nice - especially the great form factor.
QUOTED IMAGE

Just a small correction. Woodbury and The Governor were (first) seen in season 3. Sorry, as a "The Walking Dead" addict I had to correct this. Cool shot though. ;-)a

One more example of the FE 35 f2.8 on my a6300. Both this one and the one above were shot wide open and to me, show plenty of detail.

It has color cast corners on my older A7r, but no color cast on the A7r2. From what I understand, even the 10 has this issue, but much less.

When shooting dual bodies, the A7r works much better with wide angle lenses, while A7rii with longer lenses.

Heads up to early adaptors of Sony 24-70 GM lens.

The early version of the lens have to small of a gasket that compromises weather sealing.

Sony is silently replacing those gaskets now.

Bleh. I want to go shooting something new and interesting, but I am all out of ideas. It's too hot, there's nothing interesting near me in suburbia. Feeling completely uninspired.

Robbie Knievel, today in Irving, TX. This is his first jump since his back surgery in March. You could tell he was hurting after he landed.

I had troubles with the camera overheating and shutting down. It was only 104°, so I was a little surprised. I did take ~900 photos and swapped battery one time.

I caught Robbie going 75mph in mid air. I also caught the take off and landing.

Does anyone have any experience with Meike Battery Grips...I have a new photo gig that is going to require a lot more shooting, people, activities and the like...and really want to have a grip, but $350 for the Sony grip is criminal...

Don't know if grip or aftermarket batteries, but sometimes I get an "incompatible battery" message. I open the door, reinsert the battery holder and it goes back to work.

I did some google searching...seems it has the same issues the Vello knockoff has...poor quality control, random operation of buttons...cheap materials...I am going to keep searching daily for a used Sony one...

in the meantime...I have been on the same job site for the last two weeks, and noticed the huge shift in the beach sands, the Coquina rocks I love so much, are almost invisible right now, even at low tide. It made me go back to my set from April and look through them...there was so much more of the outcropping visible then...this is one of those images. It is a lot more edited than I would normally do...just having a little fun with it.

Where are these. We have an outcrop near Marineland and they get covered for years, then appear with a hurricane and stay for a few years before the sand comes back. Cyclic.

"New and interesting" to whom? I think we all get hung up on what we are used to seeing daily as being uninteresting to us while to someone else, it might be very interesting. I know there have been more than once I wished I had taken a photograph of something that at the time seemed 'routine', ("it will still be there tomorrow") that when looking back in time was very important to me that I wished I had photographed that I hadn't.

Try and see what's around you from a different perspective than your own. You may be surprised at what you find.
