I agree .... great insomnia set. The "Film Noir" is my favorite. :)

Can I get your thoughts on this shot? I have got some seriously good feed back about it and as much as I like it I think I have taken better photos. This for some reason is getting the most attention of all my pics.

I quite like it, the strong silhouettes make a great contrast to the subtle hues
Would look lots better IMO without the distant points of light, my eye keeps getting pulled towards them

I like it - love the ethereal quality to the water, and subtlety of the sky. While the lights possibly are a distraction they don't bother me personally.

Canon EOS 70D: added a Canon M5: A mixture of Canon, Sigma, Tamron and Tokina prime and zoom lenses, a Samyang fisheye, and just for fun a couple of Helios 44-2 58m..

Roseyposey this is Coleraine. I think you mentioned your family came from here.

Yes my grandfather was born there, and his mother was born in Limivady. Thanks for pics.

I think you got it balanced nicely and (along with the abstract sand patterns) it is my favorite of the set. But you know I like when you have a strong foreground element in your landscapes! This might also be very interesting in black and white.

Thanks Jeff. Yes where I walk the dog there's not much to find in the foreground, so it was nice to get away and have something different to shoot.

Do you like this one Rose. It's based on your JPEG so little room to play with instead of RAW.

It's come up nicely Richard, but possibly a bit lighter around the rocks than I remember. The sun was behind the cliff, so the rocks were in quite dark shadow .... with the sun shining on the sea.

Awesome Rose!

Thanks Eric - being in holiday mode I find I tend to spot this sort of thing more readily ....

I am doing my sisters wedding with the plan to maybe do more if it goes ok. So two bodies makes sense and the 6d's ability in low lighting looks good on paper. Hope I can get some good shots now.

Is the 6D recommended for low light. I must admit I try not to look at other cameras in case I get GAS ... for what I do the 70D is all I need I guess. It has functions and abilities I don't know about still!

Anyone using Magic Lantern on this camera yet? Just curious how stable it is. I think it's still in beta

Yes I'm curious about that too .....

Just looked at these on my PC (tablet when I was away), and I like them even more bigger sized on the monitor!
