I've had similar inconsistencies with Sigma lens. Spent few hours on the dock and it helped some, but still had issues in low light situations. Seems like most people who send it back to get it calibrated are happy with it though.

This time I considered getting the version II but the bokeh examples of that didn't convince me, not to mention the larger size, weight and price. I always thought the version I is plenty sharp enough anyway and has that wonderful rendering. This time I'll stick with it. ![]() Thorsten

Aug 09, 2016 18:16 | #7416 Well I just got my first copy of this lens. I gotta say... wow... I had the S35 ART earlier this year and was not impressed. I went with the sigma over this because I heard of how much sharper it is. Well... I must of had a bad copy of the sigma. because my copy of the CANON 35 blows the sigma out of the water...

I cant wait to start sharing more! Congratulations! I also had the Sigma 35 Art once, back when I was shooting Nikon. Mine was sharp enough, but the colors were rather dull. No comparison to the rich colors from the Canon 35. Thorsten

Aug 11, 2016 15:49 | #7420 Agreed Trevor! It's been my most used lens virtually since I bought it. Of course in part because of the focal length, but it's a great piece of glass. I have no desire to "upgrade" to the new version II. Canon EOS M6 Mark II - EOS R5

The center focus point is dead on though. Anyone else experience this? https://instagram.com/shintarodesign
