I have a trip coming up in mid September to visit my former graduate school, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating in 1990 and moving out West. I have not been back to the Midwest since then, an absence of 25+ years, so I am curious as to how the campus has changed.
But getting back on topic, I will have the opportunity, if I take a evening flight to Portland, to spend the better part of a day hanging out in downtown Chicago, and I am wondering what lenses to bring along to really capture the cityscape there. Unfortunately, I will not be spending a night there, so no night shots!
I have the 24-70 II and the Rok 14/2.8. I will also have the Samyang 12/2.8 fisheye by then, as I ordered one during the Amazon prime sale and will (supposedly) receive it in early August.
I am wondering if I should rent the Canon 11-24 and leave the Rok 14 at home. I'm not sure when I'll be back in Chicago and want to make the most of this opportunity. Any advice would be most welcome!
