Reduce recoil/muzzel flip? Yes. But so much more loud, and hell for the person beside you.

I call them "loudeners".

Please excuse the crappy crop - or lack of. It's just a shot for instagram, lol. Anyhow, that's what I have on me nearly every day (the knife rotates). The sad truth is that it's one of 2 photos actually in focus from the day. The 'nifty fifty' is great when it works, but that seems to be a rare occasion for me. Impatient, perhaps.

Yep...just last weekend at the local gun range I frequent a guy was shot by another patron. Reportedly the shooter was inspecting the weapon and "accidentally pulled the trigger". Last I heard the victim was in ICU with a gunshot to the groin.

Booger picker on the bang switch and not ready to bring the hate.

Although, even most experienced shooters would say "the bolt is to the rear, the weapon is safe." Well, not so much in the case of an open bolt Thompson. Closed bolt would be safe in this case.

She was a first time shooter (at least of machineguns) and the RO was right there ready to secure the weapon. You can see his fingers reaching in on the left of the frame.

I have to admit, I worry about this. But I like to think I'm VERY careful and have my head on a swivel when I'm shooting shooters. That and I trust the RO's to take care of business. So far, so good.

Thank you. It seems I've been doing this a while (where does the time go?), and I know a great bunch of guys that have some very cool toys that I could never afford.
