Thanks man! It's completely different than driving my other two cars. It's fun to drive in a challenging kind of way. Terrible road manners, but I guess that's part of the charm, lol. But hey, it looks cool, right? Most of the upgrades were done when he left, we are just trying to get some more response out of it after the taller/heavier tires have been added. It has an AFE intake, but that's about it as far as performance mods. We are getting a Superchips tuner and looking to regear with 5.13's to help give it a bit more pep.

It was a blast. My wife was with me on that trip. I was taking a side trip out to Mission Wolf off of Hwy 69 near Westcliffe. They had warm weather after a heavy snow storm the week before so all the snow melt made it really slick and muddy.

Jeeping - you're doing it right!

My first vehicle. A '73 Jeep Commando. 304 V8. No fuse box. Front passanger couldn't put their feet on the floor on long trips due to the hot floor. Rain dripped on my foot when it was on the gas pedal. Drum brakes would barely stop it. Loved that vehicle. Photo taken about 1984.
