Yep. My 1DX would get very oily-dusty when shooting airshows. I don't know about the mk2 yet since I haven't had a chance to shoot an airshow with it. But I suspect it'll probably still be a little oily/dusty too. 14fps can make a lot of things splash about.

This is posed. She got free for a second and I asked her to come near the window where I had already setup my softbox.

I've yet to look at the sensor nor have I noticed any oil splotches but my off week is coming up and I'll take a gander under the mirror.
Having used Sonys for quite a while I'm used to cleaning sensors.
I will say I always start out with an Arctic Butterfly which actually works for a lot of dust.

Rare I see a Robin on a limb, almost always on the ground worming-

I am not trying to help vendors to sell, but I have been using these since the first Canon DSLR.

- Aeroclipse Digital Sensor Cleaning Fluid (too small bottle) or Eclipse Fulid
- PEC-PAD Photo Wipes
- correct size Sensorwand or Sensorswipe for the Pec-Pad (but only Amazon still selling these, I lost that company's info.)
- VisibleDust Corner Swabs for DSLR Cameras - Orange Series (16-Pack)

The above combo is the cheapest and effective way to clean your sensor. If they won't work then sell your DLSR.

The rest of the sensor swab are too costly.

I remembered that I bought a sensor cleaning kit from Copper Hill Images 3 years ago. But I never used it. I took a look, and it did have Pec-Pads, QuickStrips, Sensorwand, and Eclipse fluid. The Sensorwand is for a crop sensor, but I decided to try it anyhow.

I had to wipe the sensor several times, but it did come pretty clean. However, I couldn't find a way to make it "perfect." There were always a few spots remaining. I could get rid of some by using the camera's sensor cleaner, and I could get rid of some with a rocket blower. But I couldn't get perfection. Is that possible?

I've been following this thread since it was new, and I noticed that there's just something "better" about the quality of the photos here compared to what I've seen in the past. I admit I'm a pixel-peeper, and the excellence of fine details is important to me.

I couldn't afford to purchase the 1DX2 outright, but I did have a 300 2.8 II sitting in the closet getting very little use since I purchased the 100-400 II. I was also willing to part with a 7D2, a 100-400 v1, and a couple other items. I looked up the trade-in prices on B&H, and I was in the ballpark where the 1DX2 became feasible. I went to my local camera store, and their offer for the used equipment beat B&H. I accepted their offer and walked out with the 1DX2. I'm already in awe of this camera, and I hope I can do it some justice.

I have to apologize for posting sensor spots yesterday as my first photo. So I'm doing a reset and starting now with the obligatory duck.
