I'm not trying to be difficult when it comes to the other point, though. While the image is beautiful, I can't make anything of the fork and spoon and a raw apple on a plate. If it was a knife, it would work for me: cutting the apple with it

The knifes came few days ago, will be fully exploited in next projects

I completely agree with Foodguy.

The clock makes more sense to me in this one. I see it as it's not time for the green ones to be served on the plate so they have to wait.

Then a calendar would be a better fit than the clock.

Nebojsa, I admire all your photos for their beautiful colors, the textures, and the design generally, but I have to stand with some others in having trouble with the idea of mixing clocks, forks, table knives, and apples. The clock and the silverware go together visually, having similar surfaces and an appearance of age. They don't go together conceptually unless the viewer knows the story you have in mind. The pictures end up looking surrealistic. Maybe this was your intention?

Anthony, I have to say this though I'm almost scared to express my views! Honestly.
Obviously your shots are technically very good; no question about that but what I have noticed is that every time a nice image is posted by another person, you immediately come up with a shot of yours. I feel almost intimidated by this idea. Never mind. This particular shot of yours and the previous one have definitely a unique style and in terms of lighting they are close to perfect. But I'm having a hard time with the composition: the food or subjects are kind of all over the place. My eyes wonder around and don't know what to rest on. So, composition wise they are confusing to me. But then again: who am I? Just a dumb foreign artist.
I feel your images are very competitive and ambitious but I'm sure that if there was a focal point or a story of sorts, they would be fabulous
And trust me, I'm not here to diminish the value of your skills at all.

I literally just got clearance to post the oyster images today. That's the only reason I posted. No other reason. I shoot a lot of food so whenever a client gives me the okay I post. I don't see why it would bother you that I keep the thread going.
As for the image.. The client wanted an image of oysters as if it were being enjoyed. They wanted this look and they're happy and getting a lot of positive feedback.

it was terrible, but you know what i did, i took every single persons criticism and advice and just carried on shooting and posting and taking in what others suggested. Whether it be harsh or nice. I just carried on. Im a full time photographer now with a huge thanks to this board and along the way all the people have helped me with the critiques.

I can't post criticism....and now you're complaining when I post pictures.
It just seems like this thread is more hassle than its worth. So with that being said I'll just stuck to starting threads with my food images from now on.

Anthony, I'm not complaining. Yes, we are all entitled to posting criticism. It's just the way some put it that doesn't go down very well.
Please, look at the last few "pages" in this thread and see your own comments. I am not trying to attack anyone and certainly not you. Go to my page and read my comments way back. I think I am polite and I defended some folks from being run down by others.
I have just posted in another thread about how intimidated I feel about some members making condescending comments and driving others away from posting. I have experienced it in a number of other threads myself and left them.

One thing I have to say about this forum that some threads are really run by a bunch of people who can not take any critique at all. Yet, we, the relative novices, have to take some harsh words and live with it. And this applies to a number of other threads in other forums which I left a long time ago. I couldn't cope with the arrogance and superiority of other folks. Not enjoying this forum as much as i Used to. And I'm not talking about you at all. I'm talking about other members guys and girls! Yes.
I have expressed my admiration for your work in my previous comments...go back and see for yourself, please. If you can be bothered of course.
