What printer, paper, profile and programs are you using?
A little insight into your process could solicit actual educated suggestions...
I didn't include that info because I can't see that it's relevant to my basic question, which was "Why do all my prints match the monitor except for the really dark ones?"
However, I certainly don't know everything, so... I'm using a Canon Pro100 with Precision Color inks and profiles made for the ink and for each paper that I use. They perform extremely well. I use various Canon and Red River papers and it happens regardless which paper I'm using. Software is LR, PS CS2, PSElements 9, Topaz Denoise, Portrait Pro, the NIK collection, and Neat Image, as needed. The process varies depending on the particular image.
