Must say, Terri's eyes are totally mesmerising...

Tons of enthusiasm, loads of kit, limited skill...

Great shot. I love her "amused but slightly impatient" facial expression but wish the sunglasses weren't covering her eyes.

Excellent use of natural lighting, well done. And from a girl, love the dress.

Thanks!

Funny thing -- I'm pretty much her fashion consultant because she trusts my experience and taste as a visual artist and fashion designer. For our wedding (14 years ago), I designed her evening gown. We were shopping for one and we couldn't find anything we liked, so I sat down in the store and did some sketches, narrowed down to our favorites, then finalized the drawing right there in the store and handed the design over to the dress maker.

Often when we go out, other women would compliment her on whatever she's wearing, and little do they know that the husband who's grinning like an idiot is the one who buys and picks out all her clothes. :D

Hahaha, nice one. She's 45.

Her being East Asian is part of it, but even among East Asians she's aging remarkably well, and often people think she's pulling their leg when they ask her her age.

I do clean up her skin a little when doing post-processing (as photogs often do for female models, especially when it's their wife, who they have to please. :D ), and objectively, I would say that takes about 2~5 years off, depending on the photo. In that particularly photo, her skin already looked fine so I didn't need to clean it much.

My wife watched me edit for the first time (now we share an "office") and it was her maternity photos. Damned if I edited damned if I didn't haha. Talk about pressure.
