Bernard seems to be getting out and a bit :-)

I doing a bit of LR library reorg shifting all my photos from one HDD to a large one, Did start just moving the directory in explorer and then do the LR find file location that was a bit of a chore so now letting LR do all the moving, its slow but less involvement on my part LR just gets on with it. The process has found some dead links to folders which I am happy to remove

Sometimes I take good photos other times !!!!

During a photo shoot yesterday my 17-85 lens failed, it won't auto focus at 85mm any longer it just hunts. It generally my always on the body lens and I've had it since the days if the 40d. My only lens I have is a ef 50mm. I'm looking for some ideas for a replacement to use on my 7d. Any ideas? I'm leaning towards a 24-105 f4.

24-104 is a very capable lens and will do you well, if you can push the budget that little bit more - personally I would aim for the 24-70 2.8 mkII, I have both and the later is certainly cleaner / sharper. Just my opinion of course.

My 24-105 seems to live on my camera mainly due to it's very usable focal length. I keep looking at getting another to go on Kristina's body need I say more?

24 - 104 f4 lives on my 6D. You just need to be mindful that you will lose the wide end that 17 - 85, 24 on your crop sensor is closer to 40mm (I think) but the 105 end will gain from the crop sensor

We had someone new in the studio today and tried a Mad Max vibe with some props and armour our friend Russ The Dirty Pen had loaned us, which he makes by the way.

yes, I'm mindful of that fact and i may just try and pick up a EFS kit lens second hand. I'm wondering does Canon give lifetime warranties on lens and bodies?

They do do fixed price repairs or cleans. I had a sticky zoom on my 24-70 and it luckily only required the clean.

Few from Brands Hatch on Saturday, only managed a few hours but it was good to get out on the full GP circuit - need more events on the full circuit - time to say 'bollox' to the moaning minnies who complain about the noise, simple - don't buy a house near a long standing race circuit!

All with the 1DX, Canon 200-400 with built in extender.

How about multi Olympic gold medalist Jason Kenny going for it in a radical - some people have WAY too much talent.
