while on vaca with my daughter and her favourite 40mm pancake - brightened about .5EV with some unknown software that could open the 1Dx_ii raw file - not the sharpest lens in the world but I love the FL and it makes a heavy camera almost mirrorless if you are a 7' giant

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

The 40mm pan is so small in some ways I consider it a body cap when packing up for trips. We're at the cabin this weekend and I put the 40mm on the Xii before putting
it in the Kata. Sad but I don't think I've ever actually shot with it though.

Haha, no not that reason. I guess my response is based on me hating to see
American stuff when I travel overseas, I'd think Land Rover or something like that
in Scotland/UK/Ireland.....
Here is my point better expressed- I've eaten Kentucky Fried Chicken in s.Africa (the best),
Chile, Iceland, Costa Rica, Canada. Not that it's better overseas, it always is by the way, but
why is it all over the world?
p.s. I've even been to the Col. Sanders museum :)

Wow, isn't dangerous getting so close? Pity for that branch being in front of the rear leg of the little one, but nevertheless a nice picture, I've never seen a bear in the wild :-)

Cheers,
René.

Rallying... Scotland... Ford... they're not an unknown combination. One fella even did pretty well (though admittedly not in a Ford at the time) :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_McRae (external link)

Anytime your close to bears can be dangerous. However, the bears knew I was there because I made some sounds/ I let them approach me. I always kept an eye on the mom, and she was laying to the right of the babies.

I just got back, and only have a little bit of time (10 mins) to edit the photo. Can you tell the photo was edited?

Yes, off course I can tell, there is a branch missing whahaha. But no, there is nothing as far as I can see that shows any editing. At same time my eyes are going directly to the head of the bear, so that's good and I see now that it has quite some big ears for such a little fellow :-).

Cheers,
René.
