Anyone try light dims to fix the overly sensitive viewfinder? Just got my package and wow, works so good compared to the tape hack.i have it set up so that the EVF turns on when my eye is about an inch away from viewfinder! That means waist level shooting is no problem. So far looks really nice. There's maybe a 200ms delay if you put your eye to the viewfinder compared to unmodified, hardly noticeable.

I don't even know what you're talking about...but it sounds like something I want badly. Aside from my sticky memory card door, the over-sensitive EVF is my least favorite thing about my a7R II. What product/thing is this?

Congrats!! :) I know you've been working up to that for a long time now. Decided against the X-T2? What changed your mind? Regardless I hope you'll love the X-Pro2 that you don't miss previous cameras...that's where I am with the a7R II.

I wish I could find some extra $$ for your 28mm, I still want that lens. Think it would be an excellent walk-around prime.

I was really torn between the X-Pro2 and X-T2 after trying the X-Pro2 out in the store. I was still leaning toward the X-T2 because of the big EVF and my affinity with MF lenses, then someone showed me how to use the ERF with adapted glass and I saw how awesome it could be, though still not great for longer lenses.

The main reason I went with the X-Pro2 was that I got a great deal on it on Amazon ($1250) so I get the peace of mind of knowing if there's something wrong with it I can return it within 30 days, or if I just straight up get cold feet  Also with the knowledge that the X-T2 is going to be in really short supply and really high demand for the first couple of months I figured I would just try out the X-Pro2 now and hopefully it'll win me over, if not I can sell it at little or no loss in a few months and get the X-T2 (or who knows, another a7S :-D )

Shoot me a PM about the 28mm, maybe we can work something out, I'm going to miss that lens the most about this system, the XF 18mm is great, but the FE 28mm is for sure better.

Not sure what this is you're referring to. Elaborate?

Not at all. Stick around.
So with the sale of the A7S you're completely out of the Sony game? Fuji all the way?

I definitely will, too many awesome people in this thread to just bow out entirely :)

And yup, once my a7S is sold, I'm all in with Fuji... for now, I change my mind constantly, it's why I always buy used ;)

This product here: https://www.amazon.com …F8&qid=1471824069&sr=sr-1 (external link)

it's a sticky film that covers 50-80% light. You put a tiny tiny piece on the sensor and presto, not sensitive at all. You basically need to put the eye ON the eyepiece to activate the EVF. All you need is a 2mm x 1mm piece right in the center, and that's enough to change behavior of the sensor.

you can see what it does in this attachment. You have to cut to fit, best to use some tweezers. Of course I have enough supply for many many cameras.....

I wouldnt mind sending these out to some members. All you need is a really small piece second attachment on my fingertip.

Well guys, I sold my FE 55mm today and pulled the trigger on an X-Pro2. I know some of you are probably excited to see me leave  but I'll still be lurking in here, also still have quite a few shots I took a few weeks ago that I haven't posted yet. The a7S and FE 28mm are still for sale if anyone is interested... part of me is tempted to just keep it, but I really can't justify it (to myself or my girlfriend :p )

Congrats on the new toys! Don't be a stranger man

OMG, THANK YOU! I wish I had known about this for my a7S before, not so much of a big deal now that I'm selling it, but I'm excited because now I have a product to dim the light on my damn Xbox One controllers! I don't know what Microsoft was thinking by making the lights on those things so stinking bright, but they drive me nuts!

Thanks! I definitely won't be, if you guys aren't opposed to it I can post a link (not a BBC or direct image post given that it's a Sony thread) to some of my Fuji shots if they're relevant to whatever topic may be floating around :)

Joined a models/photographers meetup yesterday. Turns out my fave shot was one of the photographer. She's slinging around a Nikon A1 film camera and a leather bag. told her she's so fashionable and asked if she mind if i take a photo of her walking. So there you go I asked her to walk and look everywhere.

The grains was added in LR. Actually the only photoshop i did here was the sharpening and the watermark.
