Another view of the same interchange from an overpass where I almost got struck by a (presumably) texting while driving teenager. Huh. I was glad to be alive. And I needed to get home!

Oh my, I haven't even finished posting the shots I took at the Rockwall harbor. I'm really tired, so I will resume tomorrow. I'm not a writer, guys. But just to give you another shot I took on my way home, here is a TX native tree shot at a red light (thank goodness Nifty and my camera were ready on my seat for whatever may come along our way :) It's a bald cypress (external link), a native tree to TX

And tomorrow the story shall continue. I have some shots just for Levina :) Stay tuned!

I am really enjoying your shots Renata....they are really great. I would not want
to be using that highway interchange very often. The art is very cool. We had
one of his sculptures here in Vancouver about six years ago.

Thank you, Kevin :) What sculpture did you have in Vancouver?

After resting a while and processing some of my shots from the university trip, I went out with a bunch of friends to a little lake harbor (external link) in Rockwall, some 20 minutes away from me. A smooth run on a tollway, Autobahn quality, we were at the lake (external link) ready for some nice shots of the waterfront, boats, sunset and the beautiful fountain. Well, the fountain was EMPTY! much to our dismay and the harbor was full of young people blasting music from their boats, imposing some dreadfully loud disco style sounds upon people. We were not happy but what could we do? We wanted to take some nice images. Again, I shot with other lenses, not just Nifty.
There was that little lighthouse that I liked and some other features. As the sun was setting, the sky kept glowing in a very beautiful way, changing colors by the minute.

People were standing or walking waiting for the sunset...just as we did. You can see the changing colors :) And our gear on the pier :) Mine is in the black rolling case.

I spotted some ducks and shot them with a 70-200mm but I also managed to get a decent crop from Nifty! Just for Levina :) The sky was getting better and better.

Do you have a close up of your green gear bag? Looks pretty sweet.
