Some shots I did of a local cosplayer, in the hallway outside the studio while we waited for the studio space to free up. Top photo is 50mm f/1.8 STM, bottom one is 85mm f/1.2L II

Wow, i love these!!! Great color contrast, sharpness PP etc.

Did you use flash with a grid, or is this just from the bulbs in the hallway?

Thanks! Lighting was a ~18" beauty dish with grid (brand unknown, not my usual 22" Demi), with no significant contribution from the ambient hall lighting.

lighting is fantastic

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

John. Taken on my 70D w/Pentax 50mm f2. Not sure whether I prefer Colour or Mono. What's your preference?

the 85mm @ F2 is one of my favourite FL / Aperture gotos - well done
- with the 5DS/R, and the 85L II, my minimum SS would be 1/400th with 1/640 being the tack sharp sweet spot
