Here's one from my first day with a Haida 10 stop filter. C/C would be appreciated as I'm relatively new to photography.

First off, welcome to the LE rabbit hole...Since you asked, you have a good scene for LE, so that is working in your favor. It looks like a really nice spot that you could work several images and enjoy some time there.

For me, the exposure was too long, the surf is blown out completely, and it has no detail. It can be tricky to get the right balance between exposing the foreground and the surf, practice will tell you what the surf will do when you are watching it before making an LE exposure. Its weird, I "see" in LE now...my mind can visualize what water and surf will render like in LE...it was not like that when I first started out.

The sky is also fairly featureless, sometimes that works, sometimes not as much. When I have a featureless sky that doesn't work in LE as much, I will focus more on the rocks and surf, ignoring the sky, maybe only include a little of it above the horizon. There is some weird banding going on in the sky too. Not sure if it is more from processing or something native to the exposure.

The tilt as unsettling as it is...kinda works...oddly enough.

That is exactly what I thought too...and then I read your post! LOL.

Cheers,
Bryan

I didn't use a 10 stop filter for these but these are effective 10+ stops using the smooth reflections app (which stacks multiple shorter exposures)

Sunset at San Clemente Pier a couple weeks back. Used my B&W 10 stop circular filter for this, only the second time I've used it and definitely need to get it out more often.

My first foray into the 10-top ND filter world of photography, headed up to the Uinta Mountains in eastern Utah to give it a shot at some waterfalls/lakes and sunset. I'm going to have to get a viewfinder cover, light from the viewfinder definitely affecting the shot with the longer daylight exposures. Here's a few shots:

Nice. everyone does that Wanaka tree, but I think that's one of the better ones I've seen. I should probably get down there sometime and have a try myself :-)
