Well after a week with the 100L, I felt like I was forcing myself to use it. So after much consideration, I exchanged it for a 50L. I've only spent 2 1/2 days with the 50L, and this was what I wanted. Certainly seems excessive to have 35/50/85/135, but that's how I shoot apparently. I did get some very cool shots with the 100L, but after a few days I was just finding that it wasn't really my thing. Luckily I have a Best Buy near my office that seems to be a pilot store for a larger photography area and they stock a number of lenses not normally seen at Best Buy.

Gear you don't or won't use is worthless. That being said, gear you don't use a week after you buy it, may or may not become your favorite gear in a years time.

Again, I hope it is the right 50L i.e. the f/1.0.
 :p

Oh I'm late.

I would've suggested the 200L or 17mm TSE. Those lenses are very unique if you need a new toy.

Since your're waffling between my two favorite lenses, I'll just say that whichever way you finally go, it'll be the right choice :-)

6d and 24-70ii cured my GAS. It is so freeing to have one lens combo (have also 135L for outdoor sessions), that I have reduced my gear substantially even sold porizers - don't miss them at all. 24-70ii could be the msot cost effective lens ever produced, lol. One flash, one camera body, one bag, one tripod, one main lens. Try it!

You've come to the wrong place to be talked out of buying gear.

I've owned the 50L for a long time and I love it.

I wish there was a remedy for this bug that didn't involve the wallet and being abused by our spouses.

A less costly remedy would be to get the SL1 and start collecting STM lenses. It would be a fun and lightweight collection without hurting the wallet too badly.
