The only samples I have at 102,400 are with the 6D I had and I intentionally ETTR with the image and brought the exposure down by almost a full stop.

Then you were just shooting ISO 51K from ISO 102K, with added risk of clipping.

just tried the ISO 12800 shot and pushed 2 entire stops in lightroom...file really holds up quite well

keeping in mind that the pics were definitely underexposed and in pretty bad lighting...pretty exciting to think how useable files will be in bit better lighting and when exposed better

Even at +2EV, LR's Color NR slider only need 10 to virtually eliminate color noise in the black wind screen.

Wow, I actually can take that 102400 and really clean it up to the point I could easily print that as an 8x10.

I figured you'd come along and say that. I am eagerly waiting for you to buy one and perform some NR techniques :)

Yup, pretty much. maybe about 1/2-2/3 stop not quite a full stop.

He really did the best thing ever by uploading underexposed shots. Tells you a worst case scenario. I'm telling you right now I'll set MAX iso on my camera to 32,000 and let auto ISO do it's thing. Won't worry about ISO ever unless I'm bounce flashing or studio strobing then I'll manually set the ISO.

Yup. For the 12,800 shot I went +2 EV, -15 shadows, -12 black, +5 vibrance, 40 sharpening, 1.7 radius, 30 mask, 18 luminance NR and 50 on detail with color set to 15.

Looks damn good for me but see that weird digital stuff at extreme bottom right and then there is just some slight purple hue of the shadows behind the headphones in the hair.

Even more exciting, with the 102,400 shot pushed +0.60 EV, it still only needed 15 color NR to kill the color noise in the microphones.

Since the author supplied these for public use, I feel I can show the quick run of a couple of Noiseware steps and other photoshop filters.

Nothing I would want to do often, but having that kind of flexibility in really tough situations is nice with ISO 102400. Of course you aren't able to see the full 8x10 image since AMASS resizes these down, including a more cropped view that I hope isn't resized much smaller.

Wow... Huge improvement and the web sharing resize helps too.

I guess I missed where that topic is even remotely related to the 5d4? I feel very confused...

It all started with an American trying to correct a Brit's spelling of the word defense/defence.

Colour me surprised, that gets a wee bit olde.

Tests seem to be all jpeg so that's disappointing.

Without a doubt the 200 F2 will be the first to mount to my 5D4. Anyone else plan their first shot?

I wanna do a nude portrait using my 85mm 1.2 L attached to my 5d4
