Recently I've been engaged to take photos of a marching band and color guard for a local college. Thursday was their first performance. It is a lot of fun and learning... so this is a candid... how'd I do? Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Canon 70-200 f2.8 II IS

Looks good to me! My daughter is in HS marching band and I've been doing their shows for the last year and it is a lot of fun. Enjoy!

First groom.

Unless I'm vastly mistaken, none of these qualify as "headshots." Some great shots, but not 'headshots'.

Shot this Saturday at the annual Charles Town, WVA car show. Every year, they close off main street and usually end up with about 350-400 cars. This year was no exception. Terrific show. The American Legion hall is located on main street about half way between the beginning and end of the show and this fellow was out in front giving the kids cotton candy.

So exactly where, on a human body, is the cut off point that moves an image from a head shot to......not a head shot? Just so we all know for future reference.
