That was my plan too (to wait) but I was not patient enough. Purchased mine last March and I am loving it. If the 6d2 is concrete for release next year, I would wait. I haven't been reading about its rumored specs but I have a feeling that it would have more af points than 6d original. If that happened, I would definitely add it to my gears.

Well, me being like a kid at Christmas, I couldn't wait either. I just pulled the trigger on the 6D with 24-105 f/4L lens for $1799 at Adorama. Just couldn't pass up that price. Best I've seen.

That sounds like a great price! There's always a new camera around the corner - better to have one in hand than one that is somewhere a year down the road.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Alright, here's a question.... I'm in between cameras moving from crop sensor to FF. I had been on the fence about the 6D until I ran across this thread and the original 6D thread. You guys have all but sold me on the camera. However, here's the question. Would it be stupid to go out and by a new 6D tomorrow with the 6DM2 on the horizon early 2017? Do you think the updates will be worth the wait or just by now?

There is always a new, bigger, better faster, whoop-de-do, hot shot model soon to be released.

Life's really freaking short. Wait for nothing. Everyone has been waiting for this 5DIV to hit the streets and I have read more than a few reviews and reports that hint at.......YAWN. It should have had this.......it should have had that......god bless a milk cow, gimme a break. I cannot imagine spending my life waiting and anticipating the newer, bigger, better...blah...blah....

Go forth and buy the new camera that you want and start using it.

Remember what the DorMouse said.....feed your head.

I think the updates will be well worth the wait....The 6D is a great camera but a few more focus points and a quicker AF system would make it a fantastic camera.. I manage to shoot action stots and some motorcross meetings but I do get a lot of out of focus shots..

Clear skies, no moon and aurora alerts on the phone. Happy days. :)

Please dont alter my posts.....If you are unhappy with the sync speed then submit your own post regarding it....Personally it works fine for me...

Just expanding on your suggestions for making this a better camera. A faster sync speed is desirable.

A couple from Sandwich Heritage Museum on Cape Cod, MA. Mostly shut with extremely high ISO, like 3200 to 4000.
