Your 100-411L is like a 100-400 that goes to eleven: it's really sharp! :p

Aw, shucks...you edited your post.

Going to miss the wonderful wonderful Sigma 20mm f/1.4 Art. If anyone wants it, shoot me a note.
This lens will be replaced in my lineup with the Batis 18mm.

Tempting...but I just picked up the 135....and am renting the B18 next week...fearful I will hall in love with it...

Great choice on your first Bateeeees (spoken with accent) lens!

Anyone else having an issue where LR won't apply the lens profile automatically with this lens?

The Sony a6300 + Canon 100-400L lens make a great combo for me to shoot hummingbirds with. Focus is fast using the Metabones IV adapter. I used AF-C mode and wide AF.

Awesome! Missed your hummer shots Gene. I'll probably upgrade to a6300 next year or wait for the next gen. Looks like the AF is improved.

Give it a go. I tried for the first time on the lake this past weekend. I did wind surfing for years and the board itself was reminscient.
Instead of a sail and wind for stability you have the paddle-just keep it moving and all is good.

Beautiful! I wish I had your skies.
Poof and I have decided next late spring we're going to the American southwest just for Milky Way.....tired of forever waiting on cloudless skies plus the moisture in my environment is over the top. Criminal but when I spent a month in NZ all I had was a dinky point and shoot.

Just wanted to let you all know, if anyone is shooting with an a6300 or other APS-C Sony cam, you should for sure take a look at the Samyang 21mm f1.4... I picked one up on evilBay basically on a whim and I'm pretty tickled by it so far (not that I'm surprised, I love Samyang lenses) :)

I might have to order the 50/1.2 next

This is an amazing place. High up in the Waitakere hills. If you litreally turn around 180 degrees you can see and photograph Auckland CBD. Just so close to the city centre, yet still able to get shots like these. Love it :)

Oops I said last image from my hotel series but I couldn't help finish editing and sharing this one. I think I prefer the composition and angle of this showing more of the piano than the previous one I posted.
