I pre-ordered body only on 8/25.

Sarah, try here: https://www.districtcamera.com/product.asp?ic=013803281347 (external link)

This is Photo Craft. They changed their name a year or two back, but are still the same excellent store. It's where I pre-ordered from, and also where I got my 5D3 (and most of my camera gear) from.

Edit: they confirmed my pre-order is shipping today, delivered tomorrow :)

Buckeye1 is who I got mine from and it arrives tomorrow. I think they still have some in stock if you want to check with him. They come from authorized dealer!

My 5D4 is currently in Hutchkins Texas AND there is a slight chance it could become available for pickup tonight since they are open till 11pm.

When you get your 5% cashback, don't forget to thank all the people who finance that cashback by only paying the credit card minimum every month.

And the fact that everyone pays 3% or more extra on every product just so we can use credit cards

Probably the most accurate fact there. Their business model probably sustains their success on this 3% alone. Everything else is pure profit.

FYI, just tested 4k video (i know... who here cares) on an old 400x card and had buffering issues but then also was able to record for 60 seconds before stopping. Granted you want a fast card, but there is still life in the old ones if you are willing to be patient. I obviously won't do it for production jobs.

ETA: and by the way, FCPX on my 27" retina iMac handles the MJPEG without a hitch.

IMO an articulating screen is not appropriate on a pro or semi-pro body. I'd be more hating if it had one than not.

The nikon D750 has an articulating screen, I'm sure it's plenty useful for landscape guys as well as journalists that want accurate overhead shots, not all shooters have the same style.
