If it was at a higher ISO then fewer shots would be expected as the noise makes the files bigger. My ~40 shots on the 5D3 was at ISO 100. Based on the average difference between file sizes, I'd guess maybe around 32 for ISO 6400 images. In short: I'm hoping jonneymendoza's test was at a higher ISO! HTP makes the files smaller too, as they are basically 1/2 the ISO, and one stop under-exposed under the hood. Less noise and an unused bit, unless you have highlights that would have clipped without HTP.
