Mine has the same suspicious look when the camera points to her direction.

pretty impressed with focus in low light with the small amount of time i've had with it, tried this morning when i first got out of bed, no problem locking and hitting focus with my sigma 50 art shot at f1.4 with only smallest amount of light seeping through the curtains

Ugh. I pre-ordered from Amazon. Can't believe they dropped the ball so big on this one! I'm tempted to drive to the Best Buy across town and be done with this.

Wandered past DigiDirect in Sydney this morning and they had one on shelf. AUD 4988 though

Given that you can get a 5DSR for a couple of hundred more I'm not sure what I'd get if I was in the market

Good point! You've just reminded me of the question I had on the way home... and had forgotten :)

Was that test at ISO 100? If it was at a higher ISO then fewer shots would be expected as the noise makes the files bigger. My ~40 shots on the 5D3 was at ISO 100. Based on the average difference between file sizes, I'd guess maybe around 32 for ISO 6400 images.

In short: I'm hoping jonneymendoza's test was at a higher ISO!

HTP makes the files smaller too, as they are basically 1/2 the ISO, and one stop under-exposed under the hood. Less noise and an unused bit, unless you have highlights that would have clipped without HTP.

yea wish aussie dollar wasn't so crap atm lol

but for me the swiss army knife-ness of the 5DIV won out over the higher resolution of the 5DSR, also not sure if i want to deal with the huge raw file all the time lol
