I find it a bit of a dilemma, getting both the kite and the surfer in the frame and on the other hand getting any detail of the surfer.

I focuses on the surfer and didn't worry about the kite and shot at 2.8 to keep my shutter speed up and high speed continuous with the hope one would be in focus ߘ

Was invited to the local flying club members day last weekend by some friends of mine. The sky was flat grey and uck, these are a few I worked on so far.

I was allowed out on the flight line for part of the event

Yeah, me too. After splitting up with my wife a couple of years ago I started not to enjoy wedding photography so had this year off and didn't much take any photos for ages...now I have a new lady and new drive, rebuilding my website so it is more wedding focused and have my eye on the new 5D IV...reading some good reports over in the gear forum! :D

Evening all :)

Glad to see a few other older faces checking in :-D

The past few weeks have been interesting to say the least.

I was made redundant at the end of July after 25 years and 1 week with the same company!

A couple of weeks of the "fun" of JSA and the coaching(?) by the Job Centre and then landing a job that has been a bit of curve ball i.e. no relationship to the previous years of B2B selling. I am now a Field Fundraiser for a nature charity..............very demanding physically as on my feet for 7 hour shifts.

Early days yet as only the 3rd full week coming this week but by choice I am working 4 days rather than 5, so hopefully some better 'work/life' balance :-)

For sure once things settle down more photography and greater effort in developing my web presence with a view to selling more prints!

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

The world does seem rather mad these days. Well done on getting a new and different job. I would find that quite a challenge!
