I have this bag and use it with a Sigma 150-600 attached to my camera. There is still room for extra lenses/flash. I'm not sure what/how much extra equipment you want to carry, but you'd be surprised how much the front "organizing pocket" can hold. The pocket goes the full length of the bag. I've used it to carry a 580II and 430 flashes and accessories before, but usually I load it up with notebook, pen, any smaller accessories like filters and batteries and a lot of snacks. You can fit a light sweater or jacket in the front pocket if you don't overstuffed it with other things. (I've done this by carrying some snacks in one of the side mesh holders instead.) If carrying a heavy sweater or thicker coat, I have to roll it and attach to the top or sides with the built in straps.

Thanks for your input!

anything you do not like about it?

The only thing that I sometimes find annoying is that the camera compartment flap doesn't stay open on its own when unzipped, so you need to use a hand to keep it flipped opened while unloading and loading various equipment. This is only an annoyance at home or indoors though because the reason for it is the flip side function of being able to access your gear without taking the pack off, which I obviously like if I want to change lenses when hiking outside especially if the ground is wet or muddy. I don't really have any complaints as far as what and how it holds equipment.

This Lowepro looks like a contender: Flipside 400AW Backpack

https://www.bhphotovideo.com …_400AW_Backpack_Pine.html (external link)

but does not appear to have a top compartment to cold extra stuff...

May have to go with my current backpack's big brother - the Lowepro Video Fastpack 350
Not yet clear if I can have the body attached or if I would put the body in the upper compartment

https://www.bhphotovideo.com …R_Video_Fastpack_350.html (external link)

I have the Flipside 400 and the 300. Capacity is similar. 400 is shorter and wider whilst 300 is tall and slim.

The 300 has more space in the main compartment when configured for the Sigma but the 400 has a much bigger accessory section on the back, big enough for rolled-up waterproofs or a light fleece jacket. Straps to tie bulkier items to top of bag also.

The compartment flap on both requires 'encouragement' to stay open when new due to thick padding but persistent opening and closing develops memory effect in the foam after a while.

The chest straps on both bags are fragile though. Clip on with friction rather than permanently attached.

300

Uh-oh, my Contemporary just failed today at an air show.

When I press the shutter half way down for AF, the vf image jumps around pretty bad.
At the same time the distance scale on the lens quickly moves back and forth. I can't obtain AF.

When I turn off OS the problem goes away. Looks like a trip to Sigma repair is in order.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Do you have the Sigma Dock? Did you recently update the FW or update settings? Maybe you can reset to Factory Default and update again...
