After spending the weekend with my fiance, I was heading back before my classes started today. I left right before sunrise with a nice glow in the eastern skies, as I started to get closer to my destination the sun started to peek out over the horizon. Luckily I had my 7D in the seat next to me so I pulled off of the highway onto a gravel county road to get this shot with the small town of Langston, Oklahoma also included.

The mountains being off to the right makes this photo a bit unbalanced. You should have moved the jetty. Ha ha, only joking! Beautiful picture.

As POTN member Firehouse and I wait for the 2016 Hurley Pro surfing competition to start, I noticed the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant a few miles south from where the event was... So I took a seven image stitch with the long glass, as the sun started to make its way above the mountains and clouds... The nuclear power plant is well known for it's 'boob-like' structure throughout the world... The panoramic was stitched and processed in CS6... 1DX + 400 2.8L II 'non-IS'... ISO 50, f/16 @ 10sec exposures for each frame taken...

PS. On a side note, there's actually a beach campsite (lower left corner) that's relatively close to the plant... Kinda scary, no?!
