So far, only one experience buying used from Adorama. I picked up a demo (D) condition 1Dx at a great price, including warranty. It's obvious that someone checked off the list of items that were supposed to ship with the camera and pulled some bits off the shelf to make sure everything was included. It was missing the strap, but I never use the Canon strap anyway so it wasn't a concern. Battery, charger, manuals, eyecup, etc. were all in the original box.

The unit, as received, was flawless visually. Being a demo, it had some clicks on the shutter and a little smearing on the sensor, which took me 5 minutes to clean off (even that wasn't visible in normal images). It was otherwise indistinguishable from new, and for me, a bargain at the price (about half the original list). After about 1000 shots, everything seems to be working well.

Edit: to give credit where it's due, I should add that I talked directly with Manny during the ordering process. I was hoping to buy a new unit but they had just sold the last of their stock; Manny found the demo unit for me and quoted a great price, which I accepted. I don't know that he was responsible for walking my order through to the packing stage, but if he was, even more credit to him.

Oh, and I successfully registered the camera with Canon after receiving it, so there's no question about it being used/returned.

I just got a used EF-S 10-18mm from them. It was E+ exactly as described, indistinguishable from new. The only less-than-ideal thing about the purchase was that I paid for expedited shipping (3-day UPS) on an order placed Monday morning, and the item didn't ship until Wednesday afternoon....

Can you please email me with the order number? Helen@adorama.com

I bought my 500mm f4 from Adorama. I wanted the option of sending the lens back if something was not quite right and that is why I chose to by it from a dealer rather then a private party. The lens was rated E- and it looked and behaved like a brand new lens so my experience with Adoramas used department was very good.

The 120-300 Sport lens, rated D, arrived from Adorama today. It appears new, the rear cap is a Canon cap which is no problem at all. It was packed unbelievably well, arrived on schedule , was inside a new looking padded case.
I unpacked it, placed a new uv filter on the front of lens then attached my camera to it. Shot about 15 random photos and seems to be working fine. It will be put to the real test tomorrow evening on 9/2 at an away high school football game that my Grandson is playing in.
I had a call returned to me last Friday from Adorama and the lens was to be put on hold for me until Monday. I then contacted them by phone again on Sunday, paid for it and was told I didn't need to do anything else, it would be taken care of , no need to call back. Honestly, I was some what nervous. So after checking the order number again on Monday, the lens was on the way to my house and would be delivered by Thursday evening and so it was.
Thanks to Sy for placing the order and hold on the lens, then someone speeding up my order for me on the weekend and I now have it earlier than expected.

I bought a m4/3 Panasonic 20mm 1.7 lens from the Adorama used department. It was given an "E" rating, which is accurate, I think. In my case, it shipped quickly and arrived quickly without any special shipping arrangement (Standard). I was happy with the purchase and the price was VERY good.

Bought a 300 2.8 IS from them in E+ condition a few months back. Was shocked when I opened it up and it was 100% brand new... Everything was still in plastic/wrapped and it even came in the original Canon 300 2.8 box. This model hasn't been in production since 09? Anyhow, I have yet to have any issues with purchasing from Adorama.

I've bought several bodies and my Fuji x100s from them and all were above and beyond what I was expecting with low shutter counts and very clean.
