Too close to a Cameron Highlands Pit Viper (Trimeresurus nebularis), montane forest of Pahang, Malaysia. Laowa 15mm.

Giant Malaysian Shield Mantis (Rhombodera basalis), Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Clipped the right claw. Reaction time is just too slow as everything is manual on this lens. Manual focusing, manual dialing of the aperture ring to the value you want!

Beautiful series and colours Kurt. That first Mantis shot shows off the wide angle, great lead lines in on the "arms".

Fantastic light and wonderful captures.

I love the look of the ultrawide macro, the depth of field is very appealing and a different look. Really like it.

Still using the same light setup?

Very best,

Thanks for the comments, Lester, mmmilton, Keith, Brian, MalVeauX.

Brian - LOL :P

MalVeauX - yes, somewhat similar lighting setup but getting better light because of the much smaller working distances of the Laowa 15mm.
