I was in playground photographing my nephew.
Then suddenly I see this ray of light coming in between the buildings as the sun was setting.
Then I saw this 2 year old blond girl with golden hair.
Instantly I had the idea of putting her in front of the sun and backlighting the hair.
Asked the parent to photography his child.
The rest of magic was ensured by 85mm f1.2 ;-)a

Needless to say, the parent was blown away when I sent him the pictures :-D

Don't shoot with this one enough, but after seeing this thread, I was inspired to use it more.

Anyone shooting this lens with 1D X Mark II?
Would like to see more photos with this combination (preferred people pics and not birds or animals)

You'll have to excuse my ignorance on the matter, but in what ways are you picturing the 1DX2 producing "different" images compared to all other full-frame cameras with this lens mounted? The only time where the 1DX2's image would look noticeably better is if it's a high-contrast situation where you need to push the darks/shadows significant. And the difference will be less noise and more shadow detail captured/retained.

In terms of people portraits, short of trying to push details out of say a groom's black suit, I'm not sure what else you might see differently between the 1DX2 vs. say even the classic 5D with this lens mounted.

For some reason YES - I'm picturing that 1DX2 producing "different" images compared to all other full-frame cameras.
So I want to see, analyze and check is it my eyes or bodies :)
(or maybe phtographers with 1DX2 have much better retouching skills)

From last evening. The bokeh here looks like quite distracted though.
