Sep 15, 2016 12:07 | #25 This summer I visited my daughter in New York City and my 5DIII got really cumbersome lugging it up and down the busy streets. I visited B&H just to see where I had bought so much of my equipment and almost walked out with a M3. I am glad I waited because I think the M5 will address some of the issues I questioned about the M3. The M3 would make a great small, inconspicuous, easy to carry camera for those long vacation days where you want to take a few snapshots but now I want to look at the M5 to see if it might be a better fit. I checked the specs and the M5 is almost exactly the same size as the SL1. Still a small camera but larger than the M3. Joe

Sep 15, 2016 12:11 | #26 I work and spend most of my time in Africa, when I travel it takes two days to get home. I have had the G series but I have been waiting for something like this to use for travel instead of full body 5D, that will be more for home or where I am based. I will be getting this one.

To bad the EVF is now fixed in position. I like the add-on EVF that is available with the M3 which is tillable. It allows for more flexible use under bright sun light and keeps the nose away from the touch screen.

I don't know, I've never used a touch screen camera with a viewfinder before... No. At least not on my GX8 or any other mirrorless ive used... I couldnt use the thing at all like that (I have to shove my eye right up to ANY viewfinder, optical or electronic, I miss big eyecups like the good old ED-e) Gear, New and Old! RAW Club Member
