Wow, beautiful shot. Even worth forgiving the slightly wonky shoreline

Even though I grew up 55 km from this place and have been to Füssen several times I never actually saw the Lechfall. Your photo sure brings back memories. Thanks for posting this very nice shot.

Thanks, glad you like it. This was our 2nd trip to Fussen, 2 years ago when we were there the fall was bypassed and the viewing areas were under repair so we had to come back to see it in action.

Finally got to do some LE this last trip. Had some good clouds for parts of the trip with Tropical Storm Julia leaving her mark.
2 Minutes, I believe this was just the Little Stopper, the sun had already gone down so it was getting darker out.

I recently got a 10 stop filter and had not, until today, experimented with it. In search of a little water here in the desert I went to the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. There I found a massive (about 10 inch tall) waterfall.

I setup the camera / tripod, manually focused, got a meter reading, and used my iPhone App to calculate the exposure.

I was pretty happy with my experiment. I forgot to add in the 1.5 or so additional stop added by the circular polarizer but a little adjustment in Lightroom corrected the exposure. Who knew reclaimed sewer water could look so nice!

Now I need to find a real waterfall!

You dont need necessairily need water to experiment it. Just try some clouds, might be easier to find as the sky is everywhere.

And your first try looks very nice already!

Thanks for the tip on clouds! I may have to go try some more experiments.
