And I found the most stunning one by a Spanish artist Adrian Torres, you can read here (external link) how the mural was created and more here (external link) and more on a Facebook page (external link)
I believe its probably 60-80ft long.
Absolutely beautiful!

Excellent stuff, Renata!

I loved the processing of some of your shots from the previous batch. That gritty kind of look, or the kind of (very good looking) HDR look. I liked those a lot. Murals are great too. As is all the street art.

Your shots of Dallas do make me realise how much of a village Amsterdam is with its old buildings, canals and narrows streets!

Levina, thank you so much; you're too kind :)
I thought that the gritty processing would be very appropriate on some images.

I would trade Dallas for Amsterdam in a heartbeat, my dear. I think that the grass is always greener next door :) :p

US Nifty updates: Nifty is going to be super busy in the next few weeks. I will be going to an antique trading place this weekend, then to a very special session; can't spill the beans yet.
Next up is another visit to some parts of Dallas that Nifty hasn't seen yet. Hopefully she/he is not afraid of heights and will not suffer from vertigo.
I also discovered some "undiscovered" places by talking to people...glad I talk a lot :)
Next weekend Nifty will go to Oktoberfest and a balloon festival. And lots of other places.
Fort Worth is another destination :)
Whew, it's going to be really busy.
And in between Nifty shoots whatever is on my way to wherever I go. I drag this little lens with me most of the time. No mercy at all :)
Even when I cook or work, Nifty keeps shooting :)
Stay tuned.

I am so loving the Deep Elum tour Renata. What a fantastic place. So many
great murals and sculptures. I love those chairs and the elephants. I would
love to come and see that area.
I am looking forward to your shots from the balloon fest as well.

ENifty here!

Sorry I've been a bit silent but Mam is busy photographing too much sport if you ask me. Today she took about 900 photos of a Duathlon - I did very little as I'm to slow and not the right size :-(

However, yesterday one of my photos got on to Flickr Explore again. Here it is-

Mam says I can write up about it tomorrow as it's after midnight here and I've got to go to bed. Needless to say it's a castle and Mam says she lived in it for three years. I don't believe her but she said she'll explain tomorrow.

Night night!

PS She says the castle is haunted!

I have been quiet too. Last weekend was a gong show and work has kept me crazy busy. But on with my story with Nifty making the journey to visit me.

Monday morning I woke up bright and early and carried on. Despite the clear skies from the previous night it was overcast and dreary. I was just west of a town called Salmon Arm. It is on the west end of a lake called Shuswap lake. There is a group of lakes in this area and has become well known as the House Boating Capital of Canada. There are rental places all over the area and during the summer the lake is dotted with houseboats like the one pictured below.

As Nifty and I left we passed a very important historical site that linked Canada as a whole. The site is called Craigellachie and is the location of "The Last Spike".

Trever Canon 7D, 24-70 F2.8L ii, Sigma 10-20 1:4-5.6 DC HSM, and a bunch of other little stuff to make light sorta work. Deviant (external link)
