Thats how I set mine in the end,.. Shooting birds. There feathers never lie. Just shot and adjusted. Honestly I think there are times I would like to move it one way or the other just because of subject. just like a sniper some times the target is small or not very much contrast. its easy to pull it back and forth.

Charles I was just using a teleconverter. I ran it and the lens through the focus program and that my first real world test.

Do you have a 500MM prime lens then?
