If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

The more I look at photos out of my 7DII the more I think its closer in image quality to my 5DIII than I originally thought. the only advantage is for really high ISO and shallow DOF with my 5DIII. I cant work out why I read online that 7DII is not that great for an "everything" camera and is only considerd good for sport and wildlife when reach is needed

I agree. It's remarkable value for money IMO.

I even wrote a review. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4049538 (external link)

Not wanting to sound like a heretic, but I've never taken a photo of a duck with mine either, just plenty of landscapes, family portraits and tourist shots!

The other week I took me Buddys 5DIII off of him and shot it for the day, I found there is a difference in the images but is it a good one, At the end of the day I found so many things limiting me with the 5DIII that I finally realized its definitely not the camera for me,... I shoot one camera for everything .. The 7DII is not perfect by any means but its closer to perfection that anything Ive had in my hands,... Of course Ive never shot the 1DxII
