Is there no LR profile for the B18?

There is one but it's not applied automatically. Select Zeiss from the drop down menu and then LR will select the lens profile. Not sure why it does that.

Because Zeiss lenses don't properly add exit info to files. They are just listed as E 18 F2.8. it's hard for lightroom to know what exactly that could be. While other lensrs from sony, Sigma etc... Have full name.

It works for my Zeiss Loxia 21 but not the Batis 18.

it hard to shoot at night with a black car with lights on handheld and natural light. no details on black. i have no control over this. if i do. i'll probably do HDR on a tripod. or do a 2 to 3 strobe setup.

it's just a zion frs with modified door. the owner said he just bought the door hence($900) that does that. same stock door.

because probably at some point you enabled this option.

if you set your Batis 18 profile, and then select "save new lens profile defaults" then every image with the same Exif lens name "E 18MM F2.8" or whatever its called, will have that profile applied in Lightroom.

You probably could've gotten away with 1/30th of a second or slower given your camera has IBIS ;)

That said, still a cool shot, and as an owner of a little coupe I can fully understand the desire for doors that don't swing so far out from the car

Shot this yesterday with the FD 600 f/4.5. Unfortunately I didn't have the working distance I needed to get the shot I wanted so I switched to the 70-200 for the shot I posted yesterday. I may try again when we get the next full moon, but I'll definitely have to do a better job of finding a suitable subject first.

Perhaps you refer to Charlie's tip of using this:

I have it in my shopping cart, which is why I have the link handy.

A couple of clever solutions there, I may have to try one out. That sensor is a wee bit too sensitive as it is.

Tape trick does not work well for the a7rii, works great for the original A7r. Sony must be using a different proximity sensor. Light dims works a tad bit too well at times, your eye needs to be on the eye piece, so experiment as needed. A tiny 1x1 mm worked for me. If you wear glasses, maybe less!
