Good ol' Lemmy. In his early days he used to play with a local band (Rocking Vicars) in my home town Blackpool.

Nice..... Vey nice.

I was shattered when he passed, he was one of those guys that seemed indestructible, that constant in rock and roll.

The action figure a Lemmy thing in the photo, a friend gave me.... I generally don't buy stuff like that. Just wanted to get that out there... ;-)a *shuffles feet while looking at them*

Well, I shoot everything with mine, and I love the camera. Yeah it has some short comings, but I don't think camera is to blame for the blown shots I have had. Speaking of ducks...

Without sounding sarcastic, did you process these differently or with different Syle? They look quite saturated/vivid but in a good way.

Love the lake/mountain/sky, your backyard again?

Nice..... Vey nice.

I was shattered when he passed, he was one of those guys that seemed indestructible, that constant in rock and roll....

Saw him with friends a few times with MotorHead in the 80's and 90's, then got to hang backstage a bit while working in the early 2000's. Truly a gracious man. I was scared to death of him and his band when they showed up at my theatre, had not heard any stories, just assumed they'd trash the place. Boy was I wrong. He was totally respectful of our theatre, and all of the staff. No B.S., knew exactly what he wanted, and the crew was immediately eager to get it for him. We learned to like him very quickly in that one evening.

There is a nice documentary about him I watched a few months back on Netflix. The mount of respect that he had earned from musicians of every caliber and denomination tells a big part of the story.

The band-tailed pigeon (Patagioenas fasciata) is the only pigeon that is native to the Pacific Northwest.

These shots are with a 7D2 and 500/4 II, handheld. For those in the Portland metro area, the most reliable place in/around the city to see band-tailed pigeons in my experience is at Koll Wetlands in Beaverton in the trees next to the tennis court at 45.456719, -122.793027.

As an interesting aside, it is the closest extant relative to the passenger pigeon, and has been considered as a possible means to bring back the passenger pigeon using DNA stored from the last living specimen in the early 20th century.

Hope you like them!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
