Another from Frisco...made sure the horizon is level...and worked the perspective lean/falling of the building...
I rarely get to see Crepuscular Rays...so it was cool to see these...

Wow. I like this one much more than the others. The others are fine but theres like too many things in the pictures. Also the leaning building in the others makes it look very nervous to me. This one looks very clean and the sky with those lightrays is awesome!

Just one thing, the corners seem to have a little like a green cast. You might want to remove it a little, other than that; awesome!

Thanks. I see that a little bit now that you mention it, I did apply a mild lighten/darken center in Color Efex pro...I will have a look at it later.

Great shot. I think the motion in the water is perfect. I'm still trying to get a feel for shutter speeds and their effects on water and clouds.

It all depends on what you want to show...the earlier shot, and most of the ones I shoot in that style with the waves rushing in, 2 seconds seems to be the sweet spot for me.
This one was only 1/2 second, I wanted to get a little motion but still capture the white frothy nature of the surf.
Lots of practice.

Travis, excellent shot! Seeing crepuscular rays in person is awesome.

Thanks. Yeah, I only ever get to see them when I am in the car it seems...rarely if ever when I am out shooting and looking for them.

question for you...did you have to remove any CA...the dreaded purple fringe that a lot of primes and 85's in general are prone to wide open?

The Batis 85 does a very good job controlling CA.

Good to know...impressed more and more by those lenses...

I've never noticed CA in any of my shots from any of the Batis lenses. My 55 on the other hand has loca in certain circumstances

It's definitely not as problematic as the likes of the canon 85 1.8 for example but it's there. It's about the only fault I can find in the lens so generally just live with it
