Not at the requisite F/2.8 but I wanted more of the face in focus.

I am thinking the same thing Scrum. I love my F4 because it has been rated second best of the 70-200's, but the 2.8 Mk 2 is the one ahead of it. Between the faster aperture and the IS, it seems sad to not share the F4 that someone can at least use it.
I am not overly concerned about weight, my daily carry pack includes my Gripped 6D, Gripped 7D2, the Mk 2 (now), 85 1.8, 24-70 2.8. Sigma 30 1.4 and my YN 565 flash and a strap. I think before I added the Mk 2, the pack weighed close to 25 pounds. So I carry a lot of weight on a regular basis, for the extra couple of pounds of the Mk 2 vs the F4 is not that big of a deal.

In that case, sell, sell, sell! The F4 is an incredible lens, but I can guarantee that other than weight, there are no situations where it will outshine the F2.8.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

This lens sure beats that F4 in everything except the price and weight, and i have it i never used F4 but i don't need/have to, this lens sure will live for long long time as did mk1 before.

Exceptional! Did you blend >1 exposure? The balance between the car and the bg is perfect!

Thanks! :) No it is just one shot. I had to increase the exposure of the car a little to get there. But besides that I edited this photo in 10 minutes I think.

I added my own made preset and then took a brush to pop out the car a little better and bring the color a little back. I used a second brush to make the sky a tiny bit darker and added some clarity, contrast and saturation.

I know this lens is not necessarily known for macro, but this was at the edge of the MFD and I cropped a bit, but the IQ is still fantastic even with the crop.

Another shot from the parking lot yesterday. I don't have a clue what type of butterfly this is, but the colors blew me away.

Great shot!

That is a common buckeye (Junonia coenia).
