Are you changing the camera profile to one of the Fuji options available?
It auto loads as Classic Chrome in which I shoot in, but then I tried reverting back to the Default Camera profile, but still does not show improved sharpness.

Sep 14, 2016 18:37 | #994 I have a x100 newest updates and light room as well. I'm not overly impressed by the images I get from this cam raw or jpeg. I don't find them sharp either. I am still getting used to this cam aND editing the raw files. I've had worse luck using mf. I followed the advice of some users here and a link to some custom settings.things seem a bit better but still not what I was expecting. I like the cam I just don't love it. I don't have LR but I process the RAF files in Adobe Camera Raw which I believe is the same engine in LR. There should be a Camera Calibration panel in LR where you can change the profile. There are currently six color profiles and four B&W available for the X100s. You probably have more for the X70. After that make your adjustments. The link that cug posted has some good info.

With a current version of Lightroom nearly all complains of it not sharpening as expected or getting "muddy colors" or whatever are operator error, not Lightroom or camera. There are some exceptions but only very few. By operator error, are you referring to technical inability when actually shooting or not knowing the right procedure to correctly sharpen them in LR per your article? Wedding

This is true for XTrans I and XTrans II files, XTrans III files (X-Pro2 and X-T2) seem slightly different again, although I start out with the same basic settings from the article I've mentioned.
