While we were away it happened to be in the finals time for junior soccer.
Our Great Nephew 12 and his little brother were playing to get into the grand final.
Sadly they lost their game but bother then went on to play in the older age group team.
And they won that game and we got told on Sunday that the boys had won the grand Final game.
And the oldest Great nephew actually won the Best play in the older division.
Which is a great award to win seeing he was born with a club foot.
But me not knowing too much about this game just took a few shots so that they had them to keep.

I like the action on the first shot and the focus is okay (the ball is sharp) but the players are blurry from motion blur. A shutter speed of 1/250 second is too slow. Try to keep the SS at 1/640 or faster.

I had the sensor cleaned and they reset the whole thing. So I have had to put all my setting back in.
Yep these are excuses and I know that and will take it on the chin but most were clear in the display and only when I downloaded them I seen I had a problem.
It was not what I wanted but thats how it was and an't go back to get them now.
I will learn from this and with luck it will stick in that thing call a brain if its still there that is.

Oddly, its a bright sunny day, and f/8 is not that bad, so why is the shutter speed so low? Did you something like sport mode? If so, that's absolutely hopeless. Shame about the focus, and the background clutter with the kids too small in the frame, but fine for the kids record books. Next time, be better prepared and you will get better results.

As I did say I had the camera looked at (sensor) it has turned into a new camera as witht he setting's.
Yes I know excuses are just that and I am fine with that.
When I did look at them in the screen thay were all looking so good.
It was only when I downloaded them that the true story came to life.
I haven't had a chance since then to try to have a go at any sort of action shots.
When I do I will remember what has been said.
And this is all I can do.
