I have been doing some edits and re-edits form a session I had last year with my favorite model, Bethany. Please give me your critique and comments.

Beautiful model. I like her pose and expression. I also think the B&W conversion fits with the setting and hat. The lighting looks a little flat. How did you setup your lighting? It also seems you might have over processed her skin. There’s not very much definition in her face.

You are correct about the skin and lighting. This was a candid I took while she was taking a break, so it was available light. I was trying to do a soft semi porcelain like skin effect on this one. I still have some doubts about the effect on her skin but I do like the over all effect of the image. I am still learning to edit in Lightroom and I am a raw rookie in PhotoShop.

thanks... and ya dancers tend to have muscle development that can be different from the norm.. this dancer is one of the most ripped dancer ive ever worked with .. she is beyond amazing at so many genres of dance.. i always tell her she should cut down for 2 weeks and do a fitness competition as she would more then likely win her class

Lots of diffused ambient light to add to the mix.

I usually have a tendency to over sharpen a give a high contrast to an image. I resisted the temptation here , hehe.

Bslkendall,

you are making confusion by commenting on posts from four years ago without quoting them.
