If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Here's my latest:

Canon 5DIII, TSe 17L and a 1.4x TC.

I'm interested in TS lenses. I shoot mostly tight interiors. Mike Kelley has convinced me that it would help my product. If you had to buy one for now, on a full-frame 5D3, would it be the 17 or 24? I want one, but just one for now. Thanks in advance.

Jeff

I have funds to get the 1DXii or 5D4 right now. I used the 1DX (CPS Loaner) and a 400mm 2.8 (ditto) at a Special Olympics Event and received recognition for the best shot of the year in Ontario. Do you find any limitations with the 1DXii in landscape situations?

I can get the 1DXii for about $1500 more than the 5D4+grip, so not a huge difference. I am curious about the MP difference. Is there any real-life, obvious difference??? My biggest hesitation is the quiet shutter disaster on the 1DX series. I'd have to keep both the 5D3 and 7D2 as backups at weddings for the silent shutter, which is a Godsend. The 1DX was a freaking MP5 at events. Good to use, as long as there's plenty of background noise. It actually embarrassed me a few times due to the shutter sound.
