One of my last Bluebird shots, they are gone now and hopefully to return in the spring. They had 2 nest with 8 fledglings this year.

As tourists I think they're pretty well under prepared. I'd think a tourist would have a camera, a backpack (or saddlebag/roll) and maybe a water bottle (if it wasn't in some other bag/backpack).

yeah it sets a completely different mood imho ... and seems to fit my outlook/personality/sl​ant on life...
a girlfriend of mine compared the color & B&W conversion I'd done of a photo once & said "it's incredible the difference it makes ... color= peaceful, inviting place...B&W= lonely,mysterious,fore​boding."

So true.

Speaking of, don't think a B&W would've been the best choice for this location. I was torn for how punchy I wanted the shadows to be in this one (argh I wish it was in shade at the time!). I normally try to avoid the tone-mapped HDR look, so I'm still flip-flopping.

yeah sometimes I'm torn between leaving it color or doing B&W ...usually what I shoot works better B&W (old buildings & such)...but I've been doing more & more landscapes lately (got a state park pass) & those look sometime dare I say better in color... I need to look into learning my color processing tho cause I'm usually not satisfied with the results...
