San Juan Fall Color & Snow

It was a very interesting day in the San Juans (southwest Colorado). Although it was almost 100% overcast all day, I still got a few good shots although none of them do the scenery justice.

#1 Along 550 just north of the Purgatory ski area.

Looks nice, those stormy days are good for photography. Just got back from the Ridgway area, I'll have to give the Silverton area a shot next fall, haven't really been down there in the fall. I did drive over Owl Creek Pass on Thursday, if you haven't been there, try that some year, it was great.

Very nice! I was there last weekend. The color was great, but didn't have the snow. The Snow really makes the color pop.

Great photos! I was up a Guanella Pass on the same weekend. No snow, but was nice and cloudy.
