"Transportation by Air"

Found an epic spot where planes touch down. Honestly, composition not the best, there where better spots, but I had my kids with me and going to other spots wasnt practical. Had to trade an In N out picknick for some shooting, the experience was completely worth it, these planes get so close.

you guys made it tough this week...

Charlies shot of the airplane is killer...if that other wing was in...I think it would have been my pick.

David, that bus is way cool, and themed perfectly for this month.

But Eddie takes it...that just looks like a great way to spend a trip, with cool atmosphere to go with it...well done everyone.

Thanks for the feedback travis, I do intend to shoot with both wings in, and I do actually have a few shots with both wings in, but at the angle I was at, was aiming for maximum magnification on the plane. Due to the atmospheric issues, you have to get a really big plane to fill the frame for best effect, will try again at this spot with the experience I've gained, minus the kids to get a proper angle :p

I think with the right plane, that will be a really awesome image...I don't think we can get anywhere near our airport Hartsfield Jackson for a shot like that...

Thanks trivis! And thanks for the other comments everyone

This weeks theme will be Macro. For those that don't have a macro lens get creative with MFD and the crop tool. Basically looking for a close up detail shot of some description

Perfect timing! By next week I hope to have my Tamron 90mm macro sold off........but I still have it for this week. :p

Oh wait, on second thought I realize I actually have another macro; an 85mm one. It's actually a cool bonus feature built into the EF 24-70mm f/4L IS! 8-) Might be fun to use it instead of the Tamron, since I'll be keeping the 24-70.

Nice theme for the week. Time to dust off my macro lens. I've also debated selling it because I don't use it often but I'm not sure yet.
